Daria Klishina

I'm Daria, a vocal pedagogue and singer. I work with the science-based CVT (Complete Vocal Technique) methodology, having completed both basic and advanced levels through the CVT Voice Academy. I'm a member of the international voice and vocal teaching association DIVA&IN. In my work I combine technique with a psychological approach — helping students release tension, discover their natural timbre, and build a solid vocal foundation so you can sing freely, confidently, and with joy.

The lesson

How an online lesson works

An individual meeting in Zoom. Five steps to make every minute count for your voice.

  1. Check the connection

Audio, camera and Zoom's music settings.

  2. Set a goal

What we are working on today, and why.

  3. Practice and feedback

A demonstration, your attempt, and specific feedback.

  4. Work on a song

Apply what you have found to your song.

  5. Your next step

What to practise before the next meeting.

Sound and connection

What helps you learn through a screen

A clear task, careful listening, demonstration and repetition. We are open about the limits: video latency means we sing in turns, rather than together.

Original Sound for Musicians

Zoom's music mode avoids noise suppression that can cut out singing.

High Fidelity

We enable it when your device and connection support it.

Your backing track

Play the track on your device so connection latency does not affect your singing.

No expensive equipment

Start with what you have. We will suggest improvements if needed.

Why online works

How online lessons support your learning

Clear goals, feedback and practice, with the practical limits of video calls.

Specific feedback

Work through a short phrase with the coach and try a focused task.

A manageable first step

Check your sound and discuss your experience and goal before choosing an offer.

Sound and connection delay

Adapt Zoom settings to your device, play backing tracks locally and work in turns.

Practice and next steps

Agree on a manageable task and review it in a later session. Progress and timing vary.

Common concerns, practical answers

ConcernCan the teacher really hear my voice through a screen?
In practice

Connection quality affects the sound, so start by checking the microphone and Zoom settings. The teacher can listen to a short passage, ask you to repeat it and give specific feedback. If the audio is distorted, fix the connection before drawing conclusions about your voice.

ConcernCan singing be taught without being in the same room?
In practice

Video calls allow you to discuss a task, listen and work through phrases in turns. Connection delay makes simultaneous singing unreliable: play a backing track on your own device and separate demonstrations from repetitions. Use the introductory conversation to consider whether this format suits you.

ConcernDo I need an expensive microphone?
In practice

Check the equipment you already have before buying anything. Start with a camera-equipped device, a stable connection and a quiet space. An external microphone is worth discussing only if the existing sound actually limits the lesson.

ConcernI feel shy singing when other people are at home. What can I do?
In practice

Choose a time and place where you feel more comfortable, let others know and begin with a short passage. Tell the teacher what feels awkward so you can discuss a manageable first task. If you have no private space, consider that before booking.

ConcernWhat if I lose motivation when learning at home?
In practice

An agreed lesson time and a small, clear practice task can help. In the next session, return to the same passage and discuss what was difficult. Consistency also depends on your schedule; learning online does not guarantee motivation.

ConcernWhat happens if the connection drops?
In practice

Try reconnecting and checking your internet and audio first. Before the lesson, agree on how to contact the teacher during an outage and check the actual rescheduling or continuation terms. A blanket promise of a free replacement would not reflect every offer.
